Parking and Transportation:

Instructors and students will receive a reduced rate at the Elm Street Parking Garage (at the corner of Harwood and Elm Street). You must have a stamped ticket or a token for the reduced rate. Leaving the garage before 8:00 PM with a stamped ticket is $6.00. Get your parking ticket stamped in the UCD office or in the UCD lobby at the reception desk. Leaving the garage after 8:00 PM with a token is $4.00. You can purchase tokens in the UCD Student Store, Suite 105. The UCD accepts cash only. Purchase tokens at the reception desk. Without the negotiated UCD rates, parking at the Elm Street Garage is $2.00 every 20 minutes, with a $12.00 daily max.

DART buses stop outside the front door of UCD at 1901 Main Street. The St. Paul light rail station is 2 1/2 blocks north of UCD on Harwood St. adjacent to the Sheraton Dallas Hotel.

Student Lounge:

Vending machines and a microwave are located in the student lounge on the first floor. Students may eat and drink in the lounge, but no smoking is allowed in the building. Back to the top

Testing Materials:

Scantrons and #2 pencils may be purchased in the UCD Student Store, Suite 105. Scantrons and pencils are 54 cents each. Back to the top

Administrative Office:

Office hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. A security guard is available from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on Fridays. Back to the top

Computer Lab:

The computer lab are located in room 435. Hours are Monday through Thursday 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Friday and Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and closed on Sunday. Absolutely no food or drinks are allowed in the computer lab. There is also a copy machine located in the 4th floor lab. Copies are 10 cents a page. Back to the top

Application/Enrollment Fees:

  • The University of Texas at Arlington requires a $35 undergraduate application fee/$50 with foreign documents, and $35 graduate application fee/$60 with foreign documents.
  • A&M-Commerce requires a $25 undergraduate enrollment fee and a $35 graduate application fee.
  • The University of North Texas requires a $50 undergraduate application fee and a $50 graduate application fee.
  • For all institutions, the application fee and registration or tuition fees are separate payments.
  • All Fees are payable to the home institution

Important Information About Meningococcal Meningitis:

This information is being provided to all new college students in the state of Texas. To ensure that you have been informed of this disease and its prevention, all new UNT students will, as part of their telephone or web-registration process, be prompted to acknowledge receipt of this information. Meningococcal Meningitis is a serious, potentially deadly disease that can progress rapidly. It is an inflammation of the membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord. The bacteria that causes meningitis can also infect the blood. This disease strikes about 3,000 Americans each year, including 100-125 on college campuses, leading to 5-15 deaths among college students every year. There is a treatment, but those who survive may develop severe health problems or disabilities.
